Magnifico invites you to the 1999 regional juried exhibition of Albuquerque area artists called Why Albuquerque? An Inquiry into Art and Place. This year's exhibit examines what it means to live and work in Albuquerque. The concept of inpuiry as the defining focus of the exhibitionserves as a means to inveestigate the substance of our specific time and place. Questions are raised and dialogue is spurred by the exhibition as well as the illustrated catalog featuring essays by V.B. Price and Kathleen Whitney along with writings by the jurors and featured artists.
