A sculptured environment by Albuquerque artists Flowers and Gautch. at 516 MAGNIFICO ARTSPACE	abiogenesis . . . 1 quantum 4a December 30, 2000 - January 25, 2001	Built as a walk-through biomorphic forest, this exhibit assumed an ongoing fusion between the organic and synthetic worlds and depicts the confusion that naturally results from this merging in transition. The audience/ participant was provided with an encounter that moved beyond observation - the traditional way of viewing art - and created a total immersion in the vis-aural experience.

THE POETRY OF DOLLS	April 2000	THE POETRY OF DOLLS Exhibit  Santa Fe Doll Art (the Albuquerque Experience) in association with Magnifico, the Albuquerque Museum Foundation, and the Albuquerque Doll Museum, present The Poetry of Dolls exhibit. POETRY HABITAT "Although we know that poetry requires no center, it is extremely exciting to watch the poetic community within Albuquerque coalesce and emerge as the heart and vital gathering place for the creation, exploration and celebration of poetry in New Mexico." -- Judyth Hill, Poet & Literary Arts Coordinator	April 2000	A month-long community celebration of poetry and the arts. Magnifico is the lead partner in this expansive collaborative project developed in partnership with a consortium of community organizations.
	Traveling Poetry Gallery, a program of Poetry Habitat, will display the work of Albuquerque poets and artists on Albuquerque Transit buses, with a free public poetry reading at the bus yard on Sunday, April 9, 2-4 p.m. Seven unique Poetry Billboards are displayed around Albuquerque during April, featuring excerpts from great poets of the world in colorful designs.
COMMUNITY CENTER ARTS WORKSHOPS	Spring 2000	Programs for youth and seniors (10 at various locations) culminating in performances at the South Broadway Cultural Center April 28, along with Young Voices, New Worlds , a published anthology of the students' work.
"I HAVE SOMETHING TO TELL YOU" CUENTOS DE ALBUQUERQUE	April 28, 2000 7:30 p.m. South Broadway Cultural Center	Magnifico's Youth and Senior Performance  Magnifico joins forces with Southwest Repertory Theater, the National Hispanic Cultural Center of New Mexico, and the National Dance Institute of New Mexico to present a free bilingual performance event for the whole family. Free, but seating is limited. Pick up tickets at South Broadway Cultural Center.
PAPERWORKS Fifty Years of Contemporary Art on Paper from Members' Collections	March 4-29, 2000 Opening Reception Saturday, March 4 2-4 p.m.	The Contemporary Art Society of New Mexico (CAS) presents its third CAS Collects show of contemporary art works from the collections of its members. The exhibit consists of works on paper dating from 1950 to the present.
	BLACKS IN THE SOUTHWEST 1880-2000: A Visual Representation February 4-26, 2000	Historic photographs and contemporary work by Black artists of the region. Presented by UNM Department of African American Studies.
The Albuquerque Arts Alliance presents the FESTIVAL OF CULTURES	January 7 - 29, 2000 Opening Reception Friday, January 7, 2000 6-8 p.m	Presented by the Albuquerque Arts Alliance, the Festival of Cultures allowed visitors to experience the craft and art making of people who represent a variety of cultures in Albuquerque. Demonstrations were held Saturdays during the exhibit.
